Removing steering wheel in 88 CRX Si, how?

Default Removing steering wheel in 88 CRX Si, how?

Since I haven't found a helms yet, I was hoping someone could help me with this steering wheel removal. What's the trick? Thanks!

get a knife and take the little "H" thing in the middle of the steering wheel out, then get a 19mm socket and unscrew the screw thats in there.

So what were you trying???
LOL! You have to understand that all of the other honda wheels that I have removed have had air bags. With those, you have to remove a bunch of little panels on the side to get to some torx bolts, and then you remove the bag from the front. That gets you to the 19mm bolt. Sooooo, I just figured that I would have to remove the entire horn button piece in order to get to the 19mm bolt. How would you go about doing that? Well, I removed the column covers and was busy removing screws backwards from inside of the wheel cover with a variety of screwdrivers and angle adapters. I actually got so much of it apart that it's going to take me a while to put it back together now that the wheel is out Finally, when I saw that I wasn't making any progress with all of these screws I posted the question. I'm glad I did.
