I have already searched this topic and unfortunately was unable to find any results, so does anyone know if the del-sol seats will bolt directly in to an ef without any modification???? Thanks for any help!!!!

you got to switch seat pans, which has been covered on honda-tech before. Pain in the ***, but works

I hope you get into a serious accident........then we'll see how stable it is.

I cant believe the constant stupid ?'s today, at least this isnt as bad as "do I need to change anything to put a B16 in my Civic?" No, nothing at all

What in the world would make you think they'd bolt in?
Was it the fact their 2 completely different chassis? or was it the fact they're from different generations?
Jesus christ people, use common sense.........CRX seats arent even all interchangable,,,,

The way the kid said it it's like he's recomending the kid install the seats with 2 bolts.
Stuff like that has no place here on HT.

Sorry if my harshness offended you......

OK put flamethrowers down for a moment.. the only problem with the del sol seats is that they are like 2" wider than stock, therefore you either have to tap and thread holes that are correct or, you have to used a steel bracket on the back outer corner on both seats, and drill a hole in the front outer frame where the rails bolt in. threaded 3/4" nylon bolt/nut to hold on front. Use CRX inner rails and del sol outer. You have to put passenger in drivers spot and vise versa.

one point in the front lines up,just weld tabs onto the other 3 mounting points--

back sidene side shortened , one lenghthed

front side: that point bolts rigth in

i'll get some pics of the other front point later, but it just needs to be cut off and welded back pointing the opposite way

Just swap the seat pans and they will bolt up perfectly. It's not a difficult project at all, it just takes time & patience. I brought my seats up to my room & did the work on my bed while watching TV. It's a fun project, and you should be able to retain the full adjustment range of your Civic seats (del sol seats don't tilt forward or backward much [wait mabey thats S2000 seats]). If you use needle nose pliers to spread/remove the hog rings that hold the fabric covers on (don't cut them), you can easily reuse them. Then you don't have to use crappy plastic zip ties...

I've got them in mine, just did a little welding on the ends to put the holes in the right place to bolt in.

Well I sure hope you don't, as my CRX won't be half-assed with seats held in by 2 bolts, but done properly, and it'd be a shame if some unsafe dumbass like yourself destroyed a masterpiece like my CRX is going to be

and a little advice, don't make stupid suggestions. If someone were as stupid as you and took your advice, they could get hurt if something were to happen.

You know I am actually in the middle of this.

I pulled the seat pans and compard the 2 and the Civic is about 2 inches wider total. The civic seat pan doesn't seem deep though. kinda a bummer. where the del sol seats have a pretty nice size dip in them.

I plan to modify the Civic Seat pans to work with the Del Sol mounting points (inner near the e-brake) and so I can still utilize the Del Sol Recliner.

Hoping to have it done or the most part tomorrow. Will let you know.

-Shane
PS about 10ft away from me are the Del Sol seats and Civic Seat pans. I'm on here just taking a break
