can you adjust the idle on a 89 civic dx stock. if so how do you do it?

 

yes there is a screw on the throttle body that lets you do it

 

it should be right under some vaccum lines. Right=lower idle (close) Left=Higher Idle (open). Try to get ahold of a tach and connect it to your Dizzy and battery just to make sure you dont go to low or to high. idel should be at 7800 .50 +/-.

 

7800 is a extremely high idle Try 750 +- 50

i think johnny meant 780, just hit the 0 too many times, al least i hope that what he did. i think the redline's at like 7000, lol
