Default Having problems starting my car

I need help asap... The problem is that when I try to start my car and I have my clutch engaged and I turn the car over I get nothing. No click or no sounds. All I see are all my instrument lights and radio turn on and turn off. I have to wait or go back and fourth with my keys until the car starts.. It started about a month ago and its happening for often now.. it took almost 10 minutes for me to get it started today.. If my explanation is confusing it's like not having your clutch engaged and you try to start your car and nothing happens. Thats whats happening to my car but I have my clutch engaged.. When it does turn over it turns over like a champ, I hope H-T can help me out and let me know what the problem is.. TIA

The problem with your car is that your negative on your battery terminal is either dirty or isnt tight enough. I had the same problem on my car. My negative terminal bolt was tighten down but it was still a tad lose so I grabed a screw and screw it in between the battery terminal and the negative nipple.

If you thin your clutch might not be engaged fully or being read as engaged, you can look under the pedal, and theres 2 sensors, push the pedal fully down and it should hit the one on the far side of the clutch pedal, make sure it fully touches the sensor, theres a little plastic part of the sensor that goes up and down when pressure from the clutch pedal is applied to it.

it could be your ignition switch your starter or your clutch switch. unplug the connector at the switch on your clutch pedal and jumper the two terminals. if it starts with the jumper in, it is the switch.

i had the same thing happen to my integra when i still had it. my starter was going bad. there's a tutorial on teamintegra.net...shows you how to replace the internals of your starter w/ new ones. better than having to buy a new/remanufactured starter. hope this helps

Knomexx had the only reasonable answer.

It's probably your clutch switch. You can try starting the car by hooking the starter up to the batter directly. Take his advice.

To the person that said the clutch was too thin

Thanks for the help. If anyone else has anymore suggestions LMK. I'll check out what was suggested hopefully tomorrow or this weekend since I've been busy with school and haven't driven it since I made this post. If it turns out to be the clutch switch would I have to change it or is there a way to adjust it.. I haven't had much problems with the car the past 2 years I've had it and I want it to stay that way.
