Default Will these wheels fit on my car? Need help ASAP please :)

Hey guys, I got the new wheel itch recently and I came across a set of wheels that suit my needs and taste PERFECTLY... however since this is one of my first wheel purchases I'm confused on something. I guess my question is a 3 part question:

1: Are my current wheels below 13 x 5 or 13 x 4.5 ? I looked at my rim and it says 5-J x 13 . . . . . . . 4.5 on the wheel. I was somewhat confused by this.

2: The new wheels I'm looking at are 13 x 5.5 with an offset of ET18. Will these fit on my car? Would they need the fenders to be rolled or perhaps flares or can I pull off an ET18 offset?

3: Can I put my current tires (185/70/13) on these rims? If the tires are a tiny bit stretched I wouldn't mind it (reminds me of nicely done VW's)

Thanks in advanced for any help you guys can offer me.

PS: if you're gonna tell me to stay from 13" rims I'm not gonna listen.

Edit: By the way, the car is on stock suspension until the summer

It's a private sale not a shop.

1. Your wheels are 13x4.5
2. Aplus 18 wheel is pretty low of an offset, If it doesn't stick out, then it'll be right at the edge of the fender.
3. I'd put the wheel on with out the tire first to make sure it doesn't go past the fender. Just think, the avg. set og 15" wheels is a +40mm, the set you are looking at is only +18. What did they come off of?

The wheels pictures aren't the ones I'm buying. The new ones are BMW wheels. So do you know if they fit?

It will depend on your car's ride hieght and the diameter of the tires.

You current wheels might be 13x5 with an offset of 45mm (4.5 cm)

That would mean the wheels you are looking at would stick out .25 farther (for the added width), plus another 27mm (for the added offset).

So that totals up to these wheels sticking out 1.25" wider than what you have.

I passed up a deal at $75 for 14x6 BMW BBS "Basket Weave" wheels because I knew they would rub on my crx with its current setup...they were 30mm offset.

Wouldn't it be .50 due to the added width and then 27mm for the offset? It'd be like 1.57 inches extra. I'm going to measure it and see if they'll fit...

Guys, offset is determined from distance from the middle of the wheel of the wheel out, which means a more narrow wheel will have an offset closer to 0, those basket weaves would've fit you car, i'm running those exact wheels on my car.

Most offsets you hear for Hondas, like +42 being the common is for a 7" wide wheel.

With my current setup, I've had to roll my rear fenders to fit 15x7+41 with 205/50/15. The Basket's I was looking at came with even bigger tires and they were 6.5 wide I think...cant remember now. but I know I dont have a half-centimeter to spare for sure.

Thenick, those wheels would be a total of .5 wider... .25 on each side... so they would stick outward .25 more, and inward .25 more, then add the offset to the outward side.

O16, as I understand it, the offset of a wheel has nothing to do with its width. it is the distance between the center line of the wheel and the mounting surface where it touches the hub. The numbers I gave would be the difference thenick would see if he truly had 13x5+45 wheels.

You're running a 13 x 5.5 wheel with an et18 offset? Can you post pics? The auction on these is over tomorrow and I'd like to know for sure before I bid.

No, i was talking to him on the basket weave wheels, you should be fine with an ET18 wheel (which i think is the same as +18, right?) since ET is short for the german word "Einpresstiefe", which means "Insertion Depth".

The width has to do with it as the mounting surface on a narrower wheel will be closer to the center of the wheel.

The thread is moving fast, i thought that would've posted under his.

"I passed up a deal at $75 for 14x6 BMW BBS "Basket Weave" wheels because I knew they would rub on my crx with its current setup...they were 30mm offset."

I wanted to try something different so I threw these on. Specs are; BBS RM with 2" Kodiak lips with 195/45 AVS intermediates. They were 6.5" wide with a +33 offset, now they are 8" wide and I believe the offset is around +13. I have brand new center caps, but I didn't put them on yet because I need to take them off tomorrow and adjust the height a little bit.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Ok so I know this is an EK but I'm pretty sure my wheels will fit seeing as how I have a wheel less wide by 2.5 inches and extra offset of +5. My question now is will my ORIGINAL tires fit on my new wheels? It should seeing as how it's only .5 inch wider shouldn't it?

they shouldn't stick out due to the width but be careful of brake caliper clearance. if you have any questions then IM me...i am not sure about the 70 series tires. try some 60's
