Default louver

now i know most people will probably hate me for this but i think it would be a cool idea, i was just looking on slhondaparts.com under exterior accesories and they have louver's for the crx, and i was wondering if anyone has a picture of a crx with louvers and what you think of the idea. i think its crazy enough to look cool.

I say go for it. I think they're outrageous and so very outdated that it would actually look good... I'm planning on getting a custom set made up for myself. Whatever you do, make sure to get a metal set... you can buy cheap plastic ones, but they're usually fairly cheap. Or, you could make your own. Get some fiberglass and make a frame to fit around your hatch, then mold little fins all along both sides, then make the inside louver parts. Or, find an old, busted set of blinds. Get ones that are a couple inches thick, then just use the individual strips to make the louvres.

Yeah the louvers were available for the second gen Rex.You really have to be into the old school look to like them. They are hard to find in good shape, cause nobody really liked them.It sits a little high to clear the rear window wiper arm.

You'll have to look for a used set on eBay or in classifieds somewhere. They are very rare.

Honda has not made accessories for '88-91 cars for a long time, and it is very doubtful that any dealerships or warehouses have the louvers stashed somewhere in inventory.

They are listed on San Leandro's web site because it is a complete '90+ Honda parts catalog, but they cannot order every part listed - especially the older accessories, since accessories are typically discontinued only a few years after a model generation change,
