how large of an offset can i go?
im going to be ordering rims within a couple days and i really want the rota D2's but because of the dish on the rim i need to know whether ill be able to fit them on.
everything is stock as the brake system goes.
i believe the offset is 45 but i called one company and for some reason i thought he said that the offset was 48.
will i be able to run these rims without any problems?
what is the ideal offset to go with?
o and i dont know anything about what the offset means. its something about clearance of somesort, so if anyone wants to throw in some info explaining it i would appreciate it.
any and all help is appreciated.

stock civic wheels are at +45 offset. and you can run up to +32 maybe more. but it all depends on how low you intend to go aswell. i doubt your will run at stock height so if your going to lower the car stick with +45. at +32 the rim tip will be just a tad outside the fender lip. any farther out and it will look like a clown car.
type in wheel offset in google and your find your other answer.

on my car i installed the eibach prosystem kit and it lowered the car about an inch and a half. so its not slammed. i have a set of 15" rota slips with 195 60 15 and it fits pretty nicely in there.
so stick with 45 offset?
sounds good. i appreciate the info.
by the way i called subydude yesterday and he said that they have the d2's in bronze, not gold but bronze. i have been searching for a while but i havent found a picture yet of the bronze ones, so if anyone has a pic please let me know. or a pic of a civic with d2's
thanks again.
right after i posted this i found the info on the offset definition.
