Weird loud noise!
Ok I changed out my brake pads a while back on the rear of my 1994 honda accord ex...after I changed them out everything went fine...nothing was happening bad at all...all of the sudden one day it started making this loud noise like metal hitting something...I checked the caliper bolts and the caliper braket bolts and everything and they are all really tight...nothing is loose at all...the only thing I noticed was when I apply the brakes or pull the ebrake up a lil ways while im driving it goes away completely...the only thing I can think it might be is when I was doing my brakes the piston came out but I mean I put it back in but the seal was broken and I didnt replace it I just slid it back over the piston and screwed the piston back in...I have no clue what it is but I cant take it anymore its so annoying...also when I put my new brake pads on I did not put those little tiny metal pieces back on that go on the outside of the front brake pad cuz they were super rusty...is it possible its just the brake pads? sorry so many questions I just really wanna get this fixed!
So you say the piston fell out in the rear or the front? Was it the seal or piston boot broken? If the seal was broke it must be replaced as it has very important functions in your hydraulic brake system. I'm going to have to guess that you're hearing a clunking noise and not a scraping noise. You piston may be loose because of that broken seal. Now there may be play inbetween the piston & caliper that the seal was supposed to take up.
That's what I'm guessing since I'm not 100% sure what you did to your car, but that's the most obvious to me. Fix a broken seal first, ALWAYS.

its the seal that goes around the piston...I dont know jack crap about brakes so I dont know if thats what your talking about or not but ill get that fixed right away...and if anyone else has suggestions please let me know!
well im gonna go get some new ones tomorrow..but I just thought of this...I dunno if this would help any but also when my car hits a pretty big bump i hear something shaking really bad but then it goes back to the normal shaking noise....im guessing that would be the shims to but Im not sure...I called everywhere looking for shims and no where has them in stock..any ideas?

The new ones will come in a kit, so your best bet is to buy that. Like $8 at any local parts store. Easy breezy.
Hey at least you learned from that, right?
