supercharger installed, car only crank and wont turn over
hey guys, got a huge problem, i just installed a vortech supercharger for MY00, but for some reason my car wont start!, its pissing me off so much.
here's my problem and what i have done...
-car will crank but wont turn over,
-fuel pump work, and i am getting fuel
-i have a pager viper alarm installed a year ago, could that mess it up? any way to bypass the kill switch? usually when i activate the auto start, the car usually crank but wont start because of the immobilizer, but its not doing it now.
-i dont have spark, and i dont know why, i didnt touch anything beside the wires that i have to tap and the wiring is correct, checked it 10x
-i have new spark plugs
-i don't think its mechanical because it was working before i installed it.
hopefully someone can help, thanks!!

do you have a missing link or anything to fool the MAP that your car is not running some crazy pressure inside of the intake manifold?
missing link, fish tank check valve, etc?

what about ignition wire? wires on coil?</TD></TR></TABLE>
did not touch the injector wires at all, only the 04 kit comes with injector modification.
only wire i touch are the wires from the map controller and the timming control which was provided by vortech supercharger kit. im pretty sure that my wiring are correct. i even solder the wires.
thanks guys, keep the info coming!

i dont know what kit u have but think logically. if ur not getting spark its either physical...u didnt wire in the right sequence or something stupid like that. i would check each wire beginning to end.
or...the ignition system isnt sending the signal to start with. so check everything u fooled with there.
immobilizer...is your stereo working or did it lock u out? that could be a sign that you need to get back into the system after disconnecting the battery and such.

i check my wiring so many times, i know its right. you just need to tap in like.. 7 wires on the ecu
what do you mean by i need to get back into my system?
cdplayer work after i type in my code.

yes but the anti theft kit on your car should lock out the ignition if u dissconnect the battery. i would call the maker of the kit(alarm) that you bought and ask them if there any special needs after reconnecting your battery, if they cant find any reason for the ignition dissconnect call the company making the chargerkit, i havent put either on my 05 s2k so i cant lead through experience on this one...
best luck tho

when u solderd the wires,,,are you sure that you have a direct connection before soldering?...let me know what u learn on this one, imcurious to find out...i would think the makers of the charger kit would have heard of this if they have sold s2k kits like this before

i've done that, still the same... wont start

positive that it has connection, i used a multimeter and place one pin in the plug (where the ecu connect to) and the other i poke it with a pin (on the wire closer to the timming control and the map kit)

i would think if ur stereo isnt even turning on that it isnt receiving any power from the battery. because when it does receive power it asks for the code. did u call the companies yet?
let me ask one of my buddies that installs systems, well used to during college. i havent talked to him in like 2 years, so definately try the companies u bought from first.
if they cant help go to a stereo install shop with some rep and bs with the guy, ask if he ever heard of that happeneing. ask him if he would know how to fix it. but def look around at those kinda shops and seeif omething happens....like i said this hasnt happened to me, and its not like i install 30 charger kits where i have the experience to say whats happening, but the connections seem miss wired or something that this problem is getting worse

found out the problem, thanks everyone for your help!
I cut the power wire from the timming control unit and the car started right up, called vortech and sending it back to them to fix it.
would it hurt if i had it running without the map and timming control unit installed?

it could create conditions of ping/detonation since as it is, the votech kit runs lean at high rpms
