Are you asking how to find TDC?I've used a piece of welding rod screwed into the indicator through the spark plug hole on cyl. #1.

trace it the flywheel with paper, mark the locations, line it up on the new flywheel, and put the marks accordingly, prolly use some stiff paper so it doesnt move much and mark a center

something like that

he needs to do it on the flywheel because on h-series motors u check timing at the flywheel, not on the crank pulley
and i do believe he has a h22 motor

 

yesir thanx very much the only thing is the tarnny is already in the car so imn pretty much thinking get everything TDC then mark inbetween the pointer

A piston stop and a degree wheel should do nicely.
