i just pulled off a engine swap...its a jdm gsr motor...
im in socal.
its all stock so wat are my chances of passing smog?
what can i do or need to make this happen. thanks.

You need all USDM emissions equipment including ECU, cat, and EVAP purge control solenoid and canister. The engine and OBD system must be the same year or newer than the chassis. Any mods must be CARB approved.

 

its gonna cost you some more cash if you want it to pass.

yeah just put all the USDM smog stuff onto JDM motor, if its a good JDM motor it will have all the correct mounts for it all, or get ready to start some drilling...

 

ive got avid mounts.

 

You have a great chance of passing smog. just make sure you use all the smog equipment for the car that you are dropping it into

o2 replacement (maybe)
everything except the evap purge solenoid.. you really dont need that ive seen people pass without.
