I have a pr3 that i'm playing with using BRE from pgmfi.org.
It's really not that difficult, easy to chip and datalog from. (Less parts and easier to chip than an obd1 ecu.) I have been using it to tune and datalog my rex with b16a with itr cams, intake and exhaust. I don't have larger injectors, although the program lets you scale to them. You just need to purchase a basic chip burner from moates.net, solder the socket into your ecu, and purchase the datalogging part ($30 or so I believe, although I made one myself).
