Default China MotoGP Qualifying

i love rossi's quote, just the way it starts out

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

VALENTINO ROSSI (13th; 2'00.720, 18 laps)

"For sure we have a lot of problems and it's disappointing to be back in this position again after such a good day yesterday. When the grip becomes normal again, like today, we have a lot of chatter and it's very hard to ride the bike. Really this situation is quite bad, as the chatter has returned again today and it is similar to how it was in Jerez. Now we have to start from the fifth row and so it's going to be a very hard race. We have talked a lot tonight in the garage and now we will try some things in the morning during warm-up and hope that we can make some final improvements. Now I need to ride a defensive race, try not to make any mistakes and try to take as many points as possible."

</TD></TR></TABLE>

Rossi sure knows how to get things interesting again. Everyone was complaining how he always blows away the competition.

Pfft! Pedrosa just needs to learn how to close it. Oh man hope Hopkins can keep it together. I can't help but pull for poor Suzuki. I'd like to see my Japanese homies represent in MotoGP.

While we're on the motogp topic, can I ask a uber-goober n00b question? What are the specs on those bikes? Are they 990cc? 500cc? I sux at navigating through the motogp webpage...

Yeah, its Sunday at 6:00p EST, I better check again, so I don't miss it...

They have the GP125 and GP250 divisions so I thought the MotoGP bikes were 500 cc 2 strokes?

MotoGP = 990cc 4 stroke

Next year they are going to 800cc 4 strokes

used to be the 500cc 2 strokes. problem was those bikes were monsters and only a very few people in the world could ride those that fast. the 4 strokes allowed for a much larger group of riders to be able to be on that top level making the competition better. the 800cc change will slow things down slightly because the series wants to try and keep things &lt; 200mph. I think all but 1 bike can hit 200 mph on the straights of 1 of the tracks, with the ducati being the fastest.

make sure to catch the 250cc race on before the GP. The last few races have been awsome! Especially the last one! Much better racing than in the moto gp.

how about the tire failure to end Rossi's 13th to 5th place run??? HONDA REPSOL represent!!! the gap between Hayden and Edwards was over 11 seconds 4 different winners in 4 races. next race is on the 21st i think.
TOP 3:
1. Pedrosa
2. Hayden
3. Edwards

It didn't have anything to do with people not being able to ride the bikes correctly.

WSBK was going nearly 200mph at Monza - I dont think the top speed is the problem.
