Default Highest R.P.M. Honda motors can handle.

This thread is inspired by watching F1 and those v8's revving up to 22,000 RPM!

Who on ALL MOTOR forum is revving high past 8100rpm ? Video's would kick *** too if you have them

Whats so great about 8100 rpm? Pretty much everyone who has upgraded their valvetrain. Stock type r rev past 8100 FYI.

Yep. which is not 22k. Cosworth had a video on their site a while back of one of their new 2.4 v8's revving to 20k but it was a bit of showmanship. In the chassis, they shift at 18.5 or 19.

i usually shift around 9,500. Not really sure tho... my tach ends at 9k.

I rev my h22 to about 75k it has seen 9k a couple times on misshifts but its straight.

IRL v8's only rev to about 10,000 rpms.
F1 v10's rev out to about 18,000 rpms.
least the older models do.

Yup, They went to the V8's this year and those rev a bit higher, but make less hp.

... remeber B18B = NO VTEC...
And still making power upthere !

Ive been taking mine to 8800 for about 55,000 miles now. Stock rods. Still running like the day it was built. I cant complain.
