JDM ITR 4.7 final drive question
ok i just bought a type r tranny from a guy but i dunno if its a 98+ jdm spec with 4.7 or just a regular 4.4. the tranny is already installed, by driving it, how can i tell if its really a 4.7 or 4.4 fd?

Try that one as you'll be able to change the values to whatever you is needed.
Like goto the FINAL DRIVE part and enter in your 4.785 final drive with the gearing of the JDM itr tranny and it will give you all the info you need... JDM ITR is pretty much a ITR 1-2-3 and a gsr 4-5 hybrid so you can figure that one out...

better for acceleration....
possibly worse for long distance commutes as the revs will obviously be higher.
So yes and no I guess - if you use the R as a daily driver and mind the added NVH.
