Default :::For those of you who don't know- Remembering Reggie My 5 LUG EG:::

Well as some of you may or may not know I have been building a Milano Red 1994 Civic Si for a little over three years now. However as of recent my car was stolen and completely stripped of nearly all it's parts. At first I wasn't going to make this thread but then I got ripped off super hard by my insurance I decided to just make a final post to show all the hard work I had done and will never get to enjoy again unless by the off chance someone out there on H-T knows the whereabouts of any of the parts. So without further adew... the documented stages of Reggie.

I had originally purchased the car from Mark Chin @ SPengineering and it was basically entirely stock aside from Tein RA ITR suspension and LCAS. I picked the car up w/ no seats/headlights/wheels/steering wheel and a few other knick-knacks. Unfortunately I never had access to a digital camera until some several months later when the build was already making decent progress...

Here are the first pictures I had taken of my car after I purchased my D70. At the time the engine was a bone-stock D16Z6 and the brakes were just the stock Si full disc and I was rolling on some cheapo Buddy Club P1 SFs. But hey the car got the job done. At this time my interior was basically completely JDM OEM.

Shortly after those pictures were taken I had finally saved up enough money to buy my ITR longblock from H-T member B18C1_powered_eg. I had a nearly brand new US spec R tranny from my previous EG with only 1100 miles on it so I was just itching to get the R motor I had always been longing for. The motor also came with a spoon 70mm TB, AEBS intake mani and Mugen header. The picture below was probably the most excited morning of my life.

At this time all I could think about was getting together the final pieces and throw the motor in the car and see what this whole B18C deal was about. I never had intentions of ever converting the car to 5lug, it just sort of happened. A good friend of mine and former squidface member, eksquidface, had the 5lug setup w/ SSR comps on his tan EK (some of you may still remember it) but he had gotten some fairly serious body damage and decided he would rather have the car fixed back to show condition than stop well. This is where I came in, he asked me to check and see if there was anyone I knew that wanted to trade a GSR disc setup + cash for his 5lug and that day when I was driving home from work I realized I was that person. Nearly a day later this is what Reggie looked like.

Maybe a month's time went by before I finally installed the motor with a bunch of other goodies I had either purchased while anticipating the swap or had remaining from other ones. I never really took too many motor shots because I never wanted to post up my setup for thieves, but here was one my buddy (R_u_serious) took right after finishing the swap. (I later went on to change some of the parts under the hood as well as hooking the a/c back up and looping the p/s)

The car basically looked the same for a little while until I broke my header and went out to cali to get some new parts... to Tony at JHP, Matt at ICB and Leo at password as well as Daryl at SP. Those guys all helped me out quite a bit when I would drive all the way out there and back here in a day for a part I need badly.

At that point in time everything was coming along great. I figured realistically I was only a paintjob/seats/rare wheels away from become a feature car. I was living at home making plenty of money and spending nearly every cent of it on my car. That's when I got a rude awakening. Basically my parents split up and moved out of state and I was on my own. That's when I really dissapeared off the honda scene for a while. Living in an apartment sucks *****. You can't wash your car or work on it and they cost a fortune if you live by yourself. Needless to say all of my money went to paying bills and I couldn't even afford cable internet for a while and that's when I fell off the map. Half a year after the above shots were taken my car was backed into by a drunk driver and it completely crushed the CF hood, broke one of the headlights and bent the **** out of the core support. Luckily I was working as a full time mechanic so I was able to repair the car quickly and that's when my car went back to a painted hood. Outside of that I didn't really change much in those 7 or so months besides putting a/c back in, adding on a genuine Mugen ITR intake and looping the ps. I snapped some quick shots before a night photoshoot with Jay (Mallard) and Jorge (Jghatch)

That's pretty much the way the car looked all the way up until it got stolen outside a mall... That was the craziest thing that I think could ever happen to any of us. I had dreamed about it thousands of times, we all have, just coming out to the parking lot and not seeing my car in it's spot. It was the worst feeling ever, or so I thought. A few weeks went by until finally my car was found, that's when I realized that seeing it stripped was going to be much harder to take. My stomach dropped through the floor board upon seeing him in this state. All the photos were taken by rhett (mc_rhett_meister) because I just couldn't shoot my car like this.

still had that climate control

no matter how bad things are I try to keep a smile on my face The strangest thing was that every car passing by was laughing histerically at my stituation

Lastly in an attempt to possibly gain some information on any of my stolen parts or maybe just for bragging rights I am going to do something I have never done and post up a full list of modifications that were done to the car- Not a single part was a knock-off.

god damn, so sorry for your loss bro. i can only imagine what you must have felt to see your car like that. i hope they nail those ******* that did that to your car. i've always thought your car was one of the cleanest hatches i had ever seen. and im sure you'll bounce back with something better really soon. if this hatch was any indication of your capability of building one hell of a car, then i think your in excellent shape.

Unfucking believable that someone is okay taking all of these parts away from someone that spent so much time and money on them. I'll keep my eyes peeled on here and other sites to see if anything comes up Sorry for your loss.
