Default D16a6 cam in D15B2. timing advice?

Using a '91 CRX Si D16A6 cam with an adjustable D16Y 96-00 gear, should I advance the timing after getting it to stock Civic DX D15B2 timing?

The D16A6 makes peak HP at 6,500 rpms
D15B2 makes peak HP at 6,000 rpms

If I advanced the cam timing about 3 degrees the Si cam would now make max power where the stock DX did. Which do you think would run stronger on the DX PM5 ecu? Civic has I/H/E also.

Leaving the Si cam at normal timing (6500 rpm HP peak) or advancing it to peak at 6K rpm like the DX?

Thanks.

Anyone?

I have the STD 4 speed tranny and I think advancing the timing might be better so I'll see how the D16A6 cam in the D15 works peaking at 6000 rpm and then try stock timing to peak at 6500...

get rid of the std tranny i would have done that before the cam stuff. just try different stuff see what feels better.

Man, I wish I could find a nice Si or EX 5 speed. This 4 speed is rediculous, I can go 110+ mph in 3rd!!

Even a DX unit is WAY better, but I'm using a new 90-91 EX trans from Honda when I build my D16Z6 up NA, Skunk 2 stg 2 cam, SMSP header and chipped P28.

Death to DPFI!!
