look i got a d16a6 block and im trying to run a mini me setup with a y8 head... what all do i need to make my rex run properly? i have the timing belt for the head and i can do the full head swap i jss need to know what i have to do to make my car runn properly with the y8 head...someone told me i cant change the ECU because my motor is OBD0 and the head is OBD1. is that because the harnesses dont match up?...someone give me info on how to and what to do to complete the full swap... thnx .. anything helps...

I just finished my Y8 mini-me. I'm working on an article... for now though, you need:
P28 OBD1 ECU
OBD0-OBD1 conversion harness
Y7 or Y8 distributor and conversion harness
Y8 or Z6 timing belt, they're both the same but the Y8 is cheaper

You can make your own conversion harnesses but if you don't know how to solder or haven't done it much, I STRONGLY suggest you just buy one.. like from http://www.rywire.com. PM me or get me on AIM if you need help, I had a hell of a time wiring mine and getting everything sorted out, but it's done finally.

 

you can also run a obd1 non-vtec distributor...
