its pretty straightforward. just pop the head on. you might need the z6 timing belt. with the y8 headgasket, yer gonna be running fairly high compression.

It's not good to re-use a t-belt. Even if it "looks" new it still could snap on you. I think the z6 belt is too big.

for some reason i thought it was the z6 belt. its been quite some time. but yea..def get a new timing belt. what ecu r u going to use for it? you need something to activate vtec, unless you have a vafc.

don't forget to pull the oil jet thingy out of the block because the head has one built in. If you don't pull the jet from the block vtec won't work.

dude, i had a d16z6 engine(complete engine, harness and ecu) in my 90 hb like 2 years ago. it is easier and more reliable in my opinion to just pull the motor and drop the entire motor. you will have to take the drivers side d15 mount and bolt it to the drivers side of the d16z6 motor. you will have to use a si crx trans or your d15 trans-but i recommend getting the better trans while the motor is out. just get your self the entire wiring harness($100) and a conversion harness.(obd0-obd1) not sure what these are costing these days. good luck

just get the whole motor. more reliable and you don't have to tune it if you convert to obd1 . you don't sound like the type that is going to take your car to a dyno , no offense dude. of course you could do the mini me and convert to obd1, that is the right way IMO. good luck
