Default Power Commander question: Usefull with stock exhaust?

Whats up all. Ive got a fully stock 05 R6 with a nasty EFI glitch right between 4900 and 6000 RPM. My question is weather or not its worth it to buy a PC even though I am running the stock exhaust? I am not necessarily looking for more power, just a smoother throttle response.

TIA!

Yes if tuned correctly it will cure your glitch and smooth out your curve. If you look around you can find them cheap for the Yami's. I have one for an 03 R1 that I will sell you cheap if it fits. Goodluck

just adding to above comment, this will only work by getting the bike tuned , nto by downloading maps off of the power commander web site. If you want and exhaust let me know that way atleast if you've got to get it tuned you can put the exhaust on and have it set up right.

i heard if you get slip on exhaust, there is no reason to tune it. however if you get full exhaust and air filter and tine it, it will run better / smooths i guess.

uhh that's not true at all...you want to smooth out your A/F ratio so its as close to stoich as possible...and you can see if you have any dips in you powerband which you can also try to correct.

even my bike, with the ducati perf ECU and termingoni system, which was a fuckload, needs some tuning

if you tune your stock exhaust, yes, it will make a difference, but at the same time...if you're spending a few hundy on the dyno to properly tune the exhast...buy the aftermarket too. if you want smoother throttle response without spenidng money, then learn your bike better...thats the best way to have smoother response

Yeah thats why I havent bought anything except a steering damper for my bike yet, I want to learn the machine as much as possible. However I feel as though my throttle control is average for my experience level and smoothing out the glitch is something I believe will help my riding improve. So I guess its better to buy the full exhaust and PC together, then dyno tune right?
