2006 NHRA Sport Compact - Atco Racway
Who's coming to Atco...
Last year all but one National ET and MPH record was crushed at this event. It was also where the quickest side-by-side pass in Sport Compact history was recorded - Personett v. Hartford (6.49 v. 6.61) and the first 200+mph pass in FWD history by Marty Ladwig (202.02).
AND NOW....
Atco Raceway has concrete guardwalls and has smoothed and ground the track to the finish line. All the records should fall again.

You can always just go online to look the pics from HIN, but you can't experience NHRA like you can when you are there!!! Go to NHRA, it's a no brainer....

well as you know last weekend out was the first on slicks with power. and i had to do some ghetto fabbing on the front suspension to get a little height back into it so i dont lay on the slicks when i brake at the top end. that was hard. started grooving my slicks from being too low. but i think i tog it figured out.
g/l this weekend.

throttle cable came off the pedal in the 1st qualifier.
2nd qualifier. 9.166/156.66
3rd qualifier we broke all the teeth off of 1st gear on the mainshaft.
we had the car back together but 2nd gear grind'd. so we took the trans out yesterday to rebuild it again, we got it rebuilt and back in the car, just have to finish up. if its grinding again i dont think we are going to make it. verdict later on tonight.
