so like the rest of you i get to deal with young punk kids in mustangs or civics wanting to race me... almost on a daily basis.with no interest i continue my ride.but i had yet to have a viper chase me down wanting to run a bit. WELL THIS ONE DID. what made this so exciting was we were on a 25 mile stretch of highway in the middle of the day on a week day. <-----this = little traffic. so it went down like this. we slowed and rolled from 2nd. and to my surprise neither one of us were gaining until he switched from 4th to 5th( he later told me at a traffic light off the highway). and then i would take off. we went at it up and down the highway, and this old guy took his viper to 160+.which is nuts. i was reading 168. god it was awesome. i have never seen such a close race between a car and a motorcycle. imagine it. 160 and less than 4 ft next to a car doing the same. i am sure i am way to excited and its not as cool to you , but it was my first real race on the bike, and i had to tell someone.

i agree.... i decided that it the only car i will buy now, so i will never own another car, because i dont have a million dollars to buy one.

and as far as a diablo goes. i would hope so for the 200,000 dollar price tag. that is almost 20 of my bikes (new)

How much power do t3h Arsee's put out and how much do they weigh???

It takes 550+rwhp to beat my 600 with me riding it...from a roll even...and i'm 200lbs....

So....i'm just wanting to know how much power RC's make and i don't feel like searching

I thought the same thing, i raced a srt10 truck rom a roll and beat it by bus lenghts, also raced a new 05' Zo6 and did the same.

Yeah it took a procharged C5 z06 on 8psi of boost to beat me....and it took him till 130 to catch me....thats the only car i've lost to...to date.

And i've raced 500h.p. cobra's, 430-450h.p. EG hatches.....blah blah blah...

So i'm just wondering how a viper....unless it was like an 800R...lol...**** i mean even just a srt10 viper is still nothing to be afraid of for me....so I think t3h viper had something done to it....or RC's don't have as much power as i thought.

Hmm...ok yeah something definately had to have been done to the viper....or OP where you even in the correct gear???

The RC is a bit heavier than my bike however i make substantially less h.p. than 136.........

Just trying to figure this one out....maybe he went from 2nd gear when he could have been in 1st???

Well he says they were racing past 150mph, so maybe aerodynamics came into effect and slowed down the bike.

Yeah...but still...he said the car hung even with him until 4th and 5th gear then the bike pulled away....if the car was actually anywhere close to being as quick as the bike it would be the other way around....with the bike getting the jump out before 100mph, with the car pulling back even and walking away at higher speeds once drag co-efficient comes into effect.

Humm, take the nearest freeway exit, Im assuming your not doing 160 MPH on city streets....make a few turns...how the hell is the cop going to say where you went....

"uhh a bike just went past me, real fast. it was....red...and black maybe??, who cares i dont know where the hell he went."

now the viper is a differnt story, little harder to make a viper "blend in"
