Default New wheels changing alignment?

LX FG1 - tracked straight as an arrow w/ stock wheels. Put some new wheels on - 18x7.5 45 offset - 225/40/18 - and now it has a slight pull to the right. Checked air pressure and swapped passenger front to rear but it's still pulling. I always heard that different tires won't affect the alignment of a vehicle, but could different wheels/offset cause the alignment to be off?

Offset and wheel diameter won't affect the vehicle's alignment. The pull might be any of the following:

-Radial pull. Try swapping the front tires, if they aren't directional. Or, find a tire shop with the newest Hunter tire mounting/balancing equipment. They can analyze each tire for pull, then tell you where to put each tire to minimize it and make the car go straight.

-Tire width. The wider your tires are, the more the car will follow any imperfections/crown in the road. High-performance tires increase this effect.

-Bad tires. If all else fails, try a different set.
