ok, so its in and it runs (kind of). i'm throwing two codes, #10 and #20.
10 is IAT sensor. Now this was the thing i had a huge issue with during the swap. see the IAT on the mani that i have had an oval shaped plug, rather than the round one on the DX harness -- everyone said it would plug in, but i didnt because the plugs were different. so i just hard wired it. i used connectors so i could swap it around if it was backwards. But i still get the code. Now i'm thinking the sensor might be fucked, but if i go spend 30 bucks on a sensor and its not fucked, i'm gonna be mad because i'm already WAY over my budget.
second, code 20 is the electric load detector. now its located at pin b19, red/green wire. i traced this wire and it appears to have gone to the old injector resistor box for the DPFI system. However this wire was never mentioned in the swap, so i'm confused. Is this just a ground issue? Do i have to ground the old resistor box plug or something?
Cars gotta be running by monday, and as of right now it runs like ****. Any ideas? Experience? Pictures? ANYTHING?

code 20 will not effect anything.. i think you posted about this before i kinda remember. i think you said your ecu was a 90-91 but if its a 88-89 you will always get this code because 90-91 did not have the sensor in the fuse panel under your hood. where as 88-89 does. for the iat i think you said you couldnt find the plug. is the harness from the car or is it an si harness? iv never heard of the sensor plug being oval before.. do you know what car the si harness came off of? and if the iat is good then its probably the wrong plug. if not then just buy a new sensor.. is 30 bucks really that much??

im pretty sure its the wrong plug, ive done quite a few mpfi swaps, and b-series swaps and never have seen an oval iat plug.

i didnt think 20 was an issue.
i dont have an SI harness, all i have is a complete d16a6. i just modified the existing DX harness to work. the plug on the IAT was oval, the plug on the harness was round, so i just cut the plugs off the DX harness and the sensor, and hooked the wires up... so i'm confused as what to do.
i have made posts, yes, but i officially know what the problem is. before i was just ******* confused completely and didnt know what to do
atleast this time i have a general direction and i somewhat understand. hahaha

i know your not lieing but i dont believe you have an oval plug lol.. everything iv ever read about the ef honda iv never heard of an oval plug... its just weird.. i dont know what to say though. all i know is that there should be two round plugs and only one is for the iat and the other is useless. all i can think of is to try and find where the wires go to the ecu for the iat and run the wires directly to the iat.

already been done
i'm so lost. so as of last night i'm throwing 5 codes, three just came out of no where.
i was throwing 9, 10 and 20 at one point. then 9 went away. Then last night, 4 (CKP sensor), 8 (TDC sensor) show up. 9 (CYP sensor) comes back and 10 (IAT) and 20 (electric load) are still there. Now i know 20 will always be there, so lets ignore that.
4,8,9 -- could this be a sign that the distributor is fubbard? how would i know whether or not the distributor is fucked, without going to spend the $130 for a new one, to possibly find out its not..?
