I installed the front springs yesterday and no problems. Anyway this morning i went to install the rears and im having a problem. the rubber piece in the top mount has a rubber piece inside it. On that rubber piece there is a part which sits lower where the end on the springs rests. Anyway when I put the spring in so that it sits in the lower part of the rubber piece. The top mount now doesnt line up with everything else. The bottom on the spring is sitting against the stop on the bottom and the Neuspeed writing is facing up. The springs are installed so that the top the coil is closer together on the top and in the rear the coil is more spaced. I have no idea why its doing this.
i'm not sure what you're asking here, or if you are just looking for info. lots of springs on the market have coils spaced closer/further together on one end. this is what makes a "variable-rated" spring. the coils spaced further apart are softer/have a lower spring rate and obsorb bumps better, and the tighter coils are stiffer/have a higher spring rate and prevent the car from rolling when you corner really hard.
umm we need picks. You're using way to many general terms and it's very difficult to understand what you're talking about. I just installed my shocks/springs a few weeks ago so if I see what you means I can likely help you.
