my JDM ITR tranny does not have any stamp code on it
is it normal? i purchased an ITR tranny JDM 4.7 fd supposely and it has a white sticker on it S80xxxxxx and i do not see any black stamp that says N3E LSD but however there is an LSD should i worry?

its a marker/paint stamp, they wear/rub off with time. Have you looked through the diff to confirm its at least an LSD tranny?
Mine doesnt have the stamp. Its possible for them to wear off.

same here, when i got my jdm tranny it had slight salt residue i cleaned it up and the LSD stamp became so light
also the white sticker fell of with the high pressure washer,

The trick is also that the JDM trannies have the 2 holes and they are NOT threaded (unless I'm mistaken). Where as USDM trannies will have the 2 holes if someone has removed the vin... and WILL be threaded.

neither of them are threaded. the usdm has rivets that keep it in place. not bolts. the jdm ones are just blank

Think map sensor... when tightened at the factory the heads pop off the bolt/screw.

The usdm IS threaded. The rivets are bolted on the tranny. I believe they use special bolts that snap off once tightened.
Once again, JDM = not threaded, just empty holes. USDM = threaded. Unless someone tapped the JDM to accept threads then it should not have any threads in the holes.
