steering wheel still shaking
I just did the alignment, and I got the wheels balanced, what else could it be I replaced the axles a while ago and they're not OEM, could it be they not balanced, suggestions.?
sometimes new axles are shorter or longer... so you should try swaping axles over... and you should check ball joints and tie rods... to be on the safe side
well warped rotors would cause that, but at all speeds, the vibration would vary with speed, it could be a chipped tooth in your tranny or something, but thats also doubtful, CV joints.. im talkin really really bad ones, could cause that, a leaky Power Steering high-pressure hose is a high probability. open your hood and look all over on the belt side of yoru engine for an oily substance and check your power steering fluid, the pump is alwasy running because it is driven by the crank pully.
I had this go bad on me.. a tiny hole developed and sprayed ps fluid everywhere... then it felt like i was driving on a rocky road constantly

If your car has bad shocks, it will cause your tires to wear unevenly. Even if you balance and rotate your tires, it wont help because your tires are lop sided.
I would suggest checking out your tires tomorrow. Feel the tread and see if you can feel for any uneven-ness. If you do, you'll need to replace the tire or even better, all four. But before you do, replace the dampers (shocks) or else you'll wear out the new tires again.

if its shakeing around 60-70 and starts to go away around 75 or soo, its probably inproper balancing. check the wheels and see if its counter balanced or something. ive balanced plenty of tires in my day. customers came withe the same problem and its usaly cause some one balanced them like crap. my opinon is to re-balance them.

most of your problems sound like bad alignment. you should get a new set of tires and get an alignment while your at it.

uhh.. if none of the things said in this thread already work.. try checking to see if your tires are the same size.. i remember seeing a thread where some guy tried just about everything in here.. and realized he had two different tire sizes
just throwin out ideas..
