Default gas emissions....

ok well before im flamed as a noob, i searched and read a bit before asking this.

i failed inspections so i got my new exhaust system , now tommorow im going back to test again. Should i run 93 octane or 89 octane ? when i took the test the first time my OH was high my CO was high and my NOx was high, but i had 1" piping with no cat. now i have 2.25" piping a high flow cat and a muffler from wicked tuning. this is all on a b16.... which gas octane should i run to help pass emissions ?

TIA

i was thinking that because higher octane burns cleaner 93 would be good right ?

plus the fact that you had no cat... that's illegal in all 50 states! course you'd fail! i say just stick with 91 and test again, with a cat you'll most likely pass.

ok , it's JDM and i got a high flow cat but before i didn't have one, i never got under and looked, i just put the stock emission for the CX back on after engine swap because i had no money for exhaust yet. Stock CX didnt have a cat on it lol.

yeah cx's cat is on the header. its weird, and extremely ghetto. you should be set with that cat.
