Default No VTEC engagement prob with hondata.... please help....

Im using the PR3 ECU and going to install the turbo soon.

I have the hondata 2B. I currently installed the socket and pluged back the OEM (PR3 Chip) back in to drive it for now since the turbo isnt installed.

I have installed the ribbon and everything but the box isnt hooked up.

I noticed today after driving it for abut 500 miles that there is no VTEC... But the ECU isnt throwing a CEL... So im kinda lost here....

Does anyone know what might be happening?

yes i have enough oil..... Yes, the engine is warm.....

Just doesnt seem to crossover.. i dont feel a power loss or anything but its just so quite, seems like its not there... i dont feel it either.. but sometimes its such a smooth crossover that you dont always feel VTEC...

maybe the engagement point is so low.. its smooth, and not that "jump" like stock...

and you dont notice it...

Don't you need the blue interface bax installed for VTEC activation? Doesn't the blue box contain the VTEC engagement RPM?
