alright i checked it out, i think it was the Positive Battery Hookup, it was full of blue corrosion, i hope that was it. the check engine came off. everything looked okay, but it kinda idles low then jumps right back up to below 1000rpm. anyone know anything else it might be that i just dont know about?

You might just need to find a code reader and plug it up and see what your car is thinkin. If worst goes to worst, time to call the dealer. Is it still under warranty? and have you really drivin the **** out of it at all?

You can usually pick up a standard code reader from places like Autozone or Advance, you might have to go to like a NAPA or Oriely for a better or more model specific one though and they can usually tell you how to hook it up to your car. As far as the light goes I wouldn't worry about it if it is driving fine and nothing is out of place anymore, but if it will give you a piece of mind you might be able to find a garage that will read it for cheap if not free, if not the only person that can is a dealership.

If you cleaned the battery terminals (i.e. disconnected the battery) you reset the computer...that's why the CE light is off. Not saying that that was not the problem, but the CE light did not go out just because of the fact that the terminals are clean. Hopefully it is solved, but you still may have an intermittant problem.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I thought that the battery had to be disconected for a substantial amount of time(like 30 minutes or so), but we also don't know how long he had it disconected.

damn, i was thinking the exact same thing too. but dont you have to have the battery disconnected for a certain amount of time for it to restart?? i didnt have it off for that long, my presets on my radio didnt even change. but again, how does a Check Engine light come on with the battery connections right???? see now im all confused.

Yeah see..i read this after the post..haha, yeah i had it disconnected for like a maximum of like five minutes. It had ALOT of corrosion on it. it was all blue. i even inhaled some and it gave me a sore throat. after that the car has been fine. No wierd noises, no vibrations. everything sounds good. i really hope whatever it was had something to do with the connection on the battery.
