tps problem
I got a car for pretty cheap the other day... it's a eg hatch with a b18b swap.. the car had an auto to manual swap done and had a check engine light on... it bogs down low and idles nasty.. i pulled the code when i got it home and it was a code 7 tps and code 43 faulty fuel system.. So i went to inspect the tps today and noticed there was an unplugged connector on the harness next to the tps that was the same fitting as the one used for the tps(same color wires and everything i think)so i swapped the connectors, reset the ecu, and fired it up.. ran good for about 10 mins and then the light came back on again and returned to bogging... my question is, does anyone know why there are two? also there is another unplugged connector hanging next to the oil filter that i noticed while i was under the car today fixing the shift linkage.. would there be unplugged wires left over from the auto to manual swap? The car had the ac removed too. I dont have a camera at the moment for pics but i will post as soon as i can if i havnt figured it out yet.
the plug hanging by the oil filter is probably your knock sensor, why you have two connectors near the tps>??? dunno...not familiar with that motor, if it scanner reads high voltage, then just replace tps with the original connector
