Default Got a new bike, need some help finding frame sliders

Hey Guys
I recently purchased a 2006 gsxr 600 but am having problems finding frame sliders for that year that require no modification to the fairings or any other modifications to the bike. I was wondering if anyone knew where I might be able to find some or opinions, id rather not cut the plastics.

thanks

The newest Gix6? Give it some time - it'll take the a/m a bit to catch up.

Also, IIRC, all previous GSXRs do not require any sort of cutting into the plastics.

I saw that alot of the older gixxers didnt but their saying that the way the plastics are on the bike only the left side requires it, but I did find a site thats comming out with some that say they dont require cutting at all, take a look, what do you guys think:

http://fs6sliders.com/

you have to navigate but its easy. below is the description:

"Sliders for the 2006 GSX-R 600 & 750 will be available the week of May 15th 2006. You can be placed on a pre-order list and qualify for a 10% discount by filling out the form below. There is NO OBLIGATION , we will simply contact you via email when the sliders become available and remind you of your discount status:

GSX-R 750 No Cut

GSX-R 750 Race (Requires left side fairing cut)

If that's the case, then the "no cut" are probably just plate adapters that relocate the frame slider. I don't trust relocating frame sliders, but I've read others' posts where their relocated frame sliders held up well (or rather, saved the frame) in a crash.

edit:"The right side is a direct install. The left side installs with a beefy black anodized CNC machined bracket that wraps around the contour of your frame from added support and strength. No flimsy run of the mill offset brackets here!"

so no left cut huh

i have mixed feelings about no cut frame sliders too.

ive heard good things about them, but ive read too many bad things.

if it were me, id stick with "cut" frame sliders.

As a side note, cutting your plastics is not that big of a deal. The frame sliders are there to save the frame from getting damaged, not the plastics.

i have "heard" horror stories of no cuts breaking the motor mounts etc. but never witnessed .

my buddy crashed his brand new 05 r6 last season with the no cut shogun sliders.

he basically jumped off the bike at 60+ mph and the bike highsided without him on it. so it rolled from right side to left side fairing

only damage was to the plastics.. no main frame damage to my suprise

you're not installing frame sliders so you look cool, function first

lucky - go to http://www.gixxer.com and check. there are about 19 posts there on this topic. there are no "no cut" sliders out for our bikes yet. i have the shogun cut kit and it was cake to put on. just cut the fairing!
