Default Radiator fan??

I want to know if anyone knows how to make the fan run after the car is turned off. Friends of mine had electric fans installed back in the day on their 4x4's. My engine gets hot so I plan on getting a new thermostat switch. Any ideas? Has anyone done this before? Thanks in advance.

I'm sure you can hook it up to some sort of delay module.

My 91 Accord DD does that. Not sure why/how. You could hook the fans up to a switch so when you turn off the car, you flip the switch and the fans turn on. Of corse you would have to sit there untill you wanted them to stop and flip the switch again.

Now that I think of it there must be an aftermarket fan switch that has something built in which enages the fan when the temp is over normal operating temp regardless if the engine is on or off. I know they are available for old toyota trucks (at least my friends had them) .
