yea im talking about my radiator fan. my fan doesnt turn on when its supose to ive been having overheating problems and im on a tight bugget at the moment and ive read on a few treads that you can just hook up the fan to a switch and just turn it on manually. just wanted to know if it was a good idea or not

Does the fan turn on at all? I would think this would be pretty easy to wire up, although not necessarily a good idea, b/c it doesn't necessarily solve the problem.

i did it too, also if you hook up a switch don't forget to TURN IT ON and to TURN IT OFF because one your car will over heat and the other gives you a dead battery. if you doing it on a budget. PUT NO HOLES IN ANYTHING, if it's a temp fix (couple months) because i put hole in my plastic and now that i fixed my fan the hole is still there. There are no risk besides you power wire becoming lose and grounding out making just a small fire, but thats all. j/k becareful just make sure your connections are good.

yup, it works fine. make sure to add an inline fuse. if u were good with electrical. you should find out if it's negative or positive triggered.. and just trigger it using ur switch but make sure to diode it. that means that it turns on when it's supposed to and u can still turn it on whenever u want to.

Go spend $40 and get a new coolant temp switch from Honda and actually fix the problem over putting a band-aid over it.
