Default New rider, few questions.

Ive got my bike on the road finally, inspected, all that good stuff. After some riding yesterday, Im kinda curious as to how tall everyone is, and what bikes you ride.

me- 6'2 01 yzf r6. Nice bike, way more then enough power, and very stable and comfortable to move around.

Im curious as to everyones riding styles, and if there IS such a comfortable position for a long trip. Overall, it wasnt bad, my ***/crotch is what probably would kill me on a long trip. So is there a way to keep fertile, or is sterility inevitable?

So I take it you can pretty much sit anyway you want and be comfortable?

5'5" 03 RC51. I wish I was 5'8" or something. I just move around the seat when my *** gets numb, which does not take very long on a Honda seat.

5' 11" 01 F4i Pretty comfortable on longer rides. My friend has an 05 R6 and he's 6'3". Since he's got longer arms, it's pretty comfy for him.

Ok, So thats pretty much what I was assuming. So I guess looking into an aftermarket seat wouldnt be a bad idea, I commute 45 miles to work, this morning wasnt bad, If I could get my *** to stay just a few inches back on the seat without coming up, it would actually be comfortable.

What does everyone do in the way of boots? I currently have a joe rocket textile jacket with the spine protector, and shoulder/elbow padding, and gloves.

what boot is close to a shoe feel, doesnt so much limit my mobility, and I can walk around wherever I go?

like apocalypse said, look into a corbin seat. but maybe also see about relocating your rearsets so you're not so scrunched up.

i dunno. i'm probably talking out of my ***. my legs are so short, i'm practically standing on my pegs when i ride.

Search boots, the topic has been discussed a half dozen times in the last 3 months.

For boots, just get a good pair of riding boots and either carry your shoes in your pack or leave them at work.

LOL, No, Every person looking for a bike "not wanting a 600, cause we all know how small they are" needs a 'busa.

Personally, this R6 feels to have more then sufficient useful power. I go to NASA events with my car, I dont exactly picture myself doing that kind of **** on a bike, theres NO room for error.

As if driving on the street isnt bad enough with all the worthless drivers out there.

Searching boots as we speak.

I'm about 74.5 inches tall (6'2.5) and I ride a `03 F4i...

Pretty comfortable compared to other bikes I have sat on/rode.

Although my *** does get pretty sore on the long rides.

6'1"

Currently on an 01 SVS and I'll just move around a little, maybe hand on the hip, rest arm on the tank, etc. Or as Paul suggested, just take a break, get some water, stretch, whatever. The SV is pretty comfortable though, not too extreme of a riding position. We'll see how bad it gets when the Mille shows up next week.....

A new to me ride . 02 Mille, with some, er, character marks on the sides but otherwise great condition. Could get some flat black redecorating. Test rode it a few weeks back, needless to say, I'm stoked about it!
