***Swap Complete, Need some advice. B16A into EJ8(yeah I searched)***
Alright, well I finally got my swap completed and i'm having a little problem here with start up.
Car: 96 EX Coupe
Engine: B16a SiR-II
Now, when I first got my car back, the mechanic who helped with the swap told me there was a problem with it on startup. When the car has had time to cool down, then engine will turn on, sputter for a second or two, then die. I did this about 2 or 3 times before the car finally stayed on. After it decided it wanted to stay on, it would sputter and cough through out the RPM range making almost no power. I would be able to go full throttle and the car would hesitate and then sputter. After the engine has warmed up(usually a minuate or two later) this problem would go away completely. After that I can drive it no problem, its just the first minute or two that the car needs to warm up.
Any ideas what this could be? We think it might be because the engine has IACV and the car has a Map Sensor, and we converted the whole thing to Map Sensor. I'm no mechanic, so I have no idea after that.
EDIT: Oh yeah, Im not throwing a CEL eathier.
Thanks in advance guys

Whatevers wrong with it take it back to the guy that swapped it and have him fix it. You shouldnt pay for it if you bought the motor from them.
Wheres all the Honda-Tech Gurus at? Finally a Thread thats not a "What Intake Should I get?!??!??" or "How Can I make my VTECH faster?!?!" thread and no one is to be found.
