every time i drive my car and i do a 3rd gear pull or something it seems like its burning fule but not gooin any where , like goin to open to close loop but there is no CEL on any ideas on what it could be thanks....

 

my car felt the same way until i got a test pipe, the smell might be the cat clogged.. i have stock exhaust its a good possibility, open it up and check or just put on a test pipe or high flow cat they are pretty cheap..

what motor do you have?

 

If you want an easy way to check if it is here you go.

remove O2 sensor before the cat
Install a PSI guage in the bung
Start car If it goes above 1 psi you are plugged up
I got my new cat for $90 bucks--- Please keep it legal.

 

if you want cheap take the cat off, get one of those 3/4" to 1" wood drill dites and a drill, then run it down in the cat, do that a couple of times. then pull out the wire with a pair of pliars bolt it back on and no one will ever know. not a good idea to do if you have to past a smog test tho.
