Broken radio wire connector. How do I replace?
The little tip of my radio wire connector broke off in my 95 civic and now the little copper thread is exposed. I can still pick up a few stations when I plug it in my stock stereo.
What is the best way to replace this?

Get a new harness. What exactly happened? Did the pin from the harness fall off of the plastic cover/harness? Or did the actually pin broke? If it just fell out u could probably just shove it back in.
The plastic tip with the metal end broke off and you can see the disconnected wire in the middle. I can still put the plastic tip back on, but the wire is still not connected so the reception is crap.
oh thats just an antenna wire, that was just crimped on that piece of coax, go to radioshack, they usually come in a pack of two, less than 5 bux surely, cut the old one off, carefully strip the coax back 2 inch's, undo the braided wire and peel back, undernieth is usually a white/clear insulation, be extremely careful and strip this about an inch, it breaks easily, trust me i know, get new connector, put center wire through very end and cut with about 1 mm hanging out, solder than, then where shielded(braided) wire is peeled back, crimp outside of connector around it, now you new connection as in most cars maybe too short now, you may need to go to car audio shop and but 12" extension if needed to reach hu.
I purchased a replacement antenna cord from pep boys. It already has the proper end connector, so ill cut the old one off and cut the new one with some wire to spare.
Now when I expose the small wire in the white insulation on both cords; do I need to solder this? I dont have a soldering tool at the moment is the reason I ask.
