can i remove the secondary box under the h22 IM?

can i remove the secondary box under the h22 IM?
i accidentally broke my secondary black box(control the secondary butterfly) under the h22 Intake manifold. i think it air reserve tank(black box) with a intake secondary solenoid on it. will i get a code if i remove the intake secondary solenoid and the black box? im running on a OBD1 p13 right now. i have a 97 prelude(converted to obd1)
