Lean/Stoich/Rich?!
I have an ls/vtec built bottom end, 9:1 low compression pistons built for turbo, i jsut got my AEM FPR/Fuel Rail and Autometer AFR gauge installed, what should the AFR read on low compression, I would understand if i had high compression and be running rich, but what should low compression read on the AFR?!? help!
That AFR gauge is junk. Because of the nature of the stock narrowband o2 sensor that gauge is nothing more than a light show. Please don't use it to tune. If your ECU is capable of running in closed loop and you are using stock injectors and fuel pressure, don't worry about it until you get tuned with a wideband.
I see, so pretty much dont pay attention to the AFR gauge?, my ECU is still stock, but how should i know if im running rich or lean?

Which ECU are you using. The experience I have with LS/VTEC (11.0:1+ CR) is that no stock ECU has enough fuel in the midrange for this setup. Personally I recommend finding someone with a wideband o2 sensor to monitor your AFR if you are concerned. That is really the only reliable way.

I'm not all that **** about it, but if i didn't have the AFR gauge i would of cared less just as long as the car ran superb with all the right mods, but after getting the AFR gauge on, it's given me some concerns, but if you say its nothing to be concerned about, then i'll be on my way with other mods to work on. I'm running a JDM gsr ECU. But all in all i shouldn't worry about anything if i wasn't concerned?
