Default door hinge alignment

i have a 90 CRX. i had to take the door and the hinges off to do some rust removal and painting. is there a way i can properly align the hinges on the door before mounting it onto the frame? or is it gonna be a game of guess and check? its definitely a pain doing it by myself since the door is heavy.

is all the old marking (the rusty outline that gets left when you take it off) gone? if there is nothing there, i think you're going to have to re-align everything. i've done it by myself quite a few times- it's not too bad. get everything snugged up but not tight, get everything in line, and use a floor jack or similar to help hold things while you tighten.

i mark everything before i take it off now to make things easier.
