Default problem with str cam gears

Well, I got my timing belt and everything on but can't seem to get the STR cam gears to line up right. The cam gear on the left always is off by about 1 tooth. I can get a pic in a bit but has anyone else experienced this?

This is on a fully built setup in an EF (400+whp). Car has not been started or ran yet. Will this affect my performance? Is it the STR cam gears that are the problem? Im thinking of switching out to stock gsr cam gears...

my STR gears are fine. Ive had mine for a few years though, so dont know if you might have a different version.

and yes that WILL effect the performance and I DO NOT recommend trying to start the car.
