VSS i got a question about it

Default VSS i got a question about it

ok i wanted to know that if i should change my cluster or my VSS sensor because my velocity doesnt get mesure on my cluster. the car HONDA CIVIC HATCH 1993 DX

its shouldnt be the cluster, make sure all the wires to the VSS are good to begin with. Bump for a better answer...

well it measures at times but it jumps from 0 to 120 for no reason

if you have a buddy with the same car as you do, try his cluster. It takes like 5 mins to pull it out. Try that, if his was working before and doesnt work with ur car, you know its not the cluster.

for me it was corroded and jacked up center post on VSS connection on top of tranny. locate the VSS, remove the wiring, check if its corroded. i actually replaced my vss with B-series one with new engine and it is still messing up, have to either clean the vss connector or simply cut and splice a new head onto it.
