Just pick me up a beater and Im making up a list of what Im going to use on my car.Question is:Are the springs in an Si(1990 hatch) any different thanthe stock springs in my 1990 hatch DX.

Im reffering to any difference in ride hight, or spring rate.

so what exactly is different from an si's suspersion over the others? I ask because I have an 89 si and I crashed into a curb on the front right wheel and I can't figure out what is damaged. I've already replaced alot of the parts from the junkyard.

So if anyone could point out what suspension differences there are between the models (si, dx, etc.) that would be great for me to get replacement parts.

thanks,
dan

the front brake calipers are slightly different. the crx si has a rear sway bar, the DX hatch has a front sway bar, the STD does not. the biggest diff between the DX and the SI is the size of the tires from the factory. the dx had 175 65 13s and the si had 185 60 14s.

thanks for the quick reply, but its my fault for not stating that i have a 1989 si hatchback. does it also have the rear sway bar?

actually, 90-91 Civic Si did not get the same upgraded brakes the 90-91 CRX's did. its all the same for civics.

all Si (and only Si) civic and crx have rear swaybars.

you can get some brake differences from this chart of mine. the suspension is really the same.
