eagle rods won't work with pct pistons.... stock itr rods are fine for ctr pistons thas what im using 12.5:1 compression, no tuning 91 octane and no detonation... oem pistons use press-fit wristpins as opposed to eagle's which are floating type, and don't work together. I'd say oem itr rods are fine for your application unless your planning to go turbo, then you should go altogether with different pistons and rods

thanks for the info!! So you wouldnt recommend changing the rods, not even to spoon rods? Do you drive your R regularly even though its a 12.5??

yea its a daily driver, and i'd had it for about a week now, and still no problems, timing was retarded 2 degrees for safety, i'll probably get it tuned soon. as far as replacing rods, I don't think its necessary to replace them with spoon rods unless your revving to 9000 rpms 24/7. iirc they're just balanced oem rods. it all depends on your budget and what your plans r for your car. ask in the allmotor forum for more advice as far as engine work goes.
