Default FAQ: OIL IN SPARK PLUG TUBES (sticky?)

I see this question come up more than once every day. Its definately a common issue with the accords and i think we need a sticky for it.

This link is for a cb7 (90-93) but same concept for the 94+

http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/sh...seals

The main writeup is on page 1, but if you look through it (page 2 or 3) they have a second writeup with pictures.

there are a couple of other sites around that have this info, if you have them available please post it in this thread.

Also, please get a helms/haynes/chilton manual for your vehicle, it helps, and you will want to use it.

MODS please sticky this, its asked way too much.

I don't see your year and model mentioned anywhere, so I'll have to make a generic illustration.

These are the Pieces you need (You get the idea)

CYLINDER HEAD DETAIL (19) (ORING) (spark plug wells)

Hopes this helps

Thats what I thought those threads would be good for when you first posted them, thats why I asked the mods if the 5th Gen could be a sticky (at the time only the 6th Gen was a sticky) but shortly after some random things were posted in there rather than all FAQ's.

What I think would be better would be a sticky just for links.

Inside, you would find links for 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th gen Accords as well as general links or just have the links seperated by Engine, Exterior, Interior, Suspension, ect.

This way, when someone does a write-up or finds a write-up, they can PM a mod and ask them to add "this" link to the FAQ thread. Then the mod would go into the thread and add the write-up to the correct area.

I don't like compairing forum to forum on this board but if you look at the 92-00 Civic forum, Prelude forum and the ITR forum you'll see they have FAQ threads stickied. Inside those threads you would find links to all sorts of things.

When I first got my 92 hatchback, I found the FAQ thread in the 92-00 Civic forum very helpful. It' put a lot of useful info right there in front of me. Things I needed to find out and others that were just good reading.

I think a FAQ stick with links to write-ups and other useful info would be a great idea for this forum but thats just my $.02

This sounds reasonable, but I think we need to make some moderator changes for this forum first.

Cool

What moderator changes if you don't mind me asking? Is the Accord forum getting a new moderator?

Accord Forum is falling behind.

Urbanlegend21 has only limited time to moderate, and his experience is with the 5 Gen mostly.

There's little information here about 6 Gen, and almost no information about 7 Gen, and this at a time that it seems a 7 Gen Accord is destined to win the STS Grand Am championship.

We need to get with the times a little bit.
