Default suggestions on my accord...

i just got a 97 SE coupe. it's in good condition. planning on installing new brake rotors/pads soon. as of now its only got an intake. should my next step go towards headers and exhaust? i really want to swap out the motor with an h22a but i dont have the patience to save up for it unless i can get a loan somehow from the bank. what do you think? thanks

if you are sure you can afford the payments of a bank loan and a H22 is what you really want then i say what the expletive are you waiting for?! go for it...but if your not to positive about being able to afford to pay back the bank dont risk ruining your credit, a motor isnt worth not ebing able to buy a house in the future.

you should look into suspension upgrades, rims and tires, and what rotors and pads are you going with?

Yeah I would go with some Honda rotors and pads..unless your planning on doing some drilled and slotted rotors or something....if I were you I would put some money into some suspension upgrades first...as much as some ppl think headers and exhaust help they really dont add that much HP...I would take that money instead and do some lowering springs and shocks stuff like that...some strut bars or something...that would be well more worth the money...then get some rims..cant have a lowered car without some rimage!

I don't understand people nowadays.

I would never get a loan just so that I can modify my car.

Maybe he is in to it that much. You would get a loan for a new car, right? Maybe to him that is like the same thing (on a much smaller scale).

If its in good condition already why the expletive do you want to put a new engine in it?
if your even thinking about taking out a loan simply to put a new engine in your car, maybe you should have never bought the car in the first place and used to money to save for an instance when you actually need the money.
Thats what's wrong with society today; they don't teach comon sense in schools anymore.

I really don't think you can compare the two. If you want to be THAT into modifying cars, you'd better learn to have patience.

some people are just that into modifying their cars. most of the customers that Motorex useto have that bought their skylines took out mertages to be able to afford the car they fell in love with. and alot of the cars you see in the magazines(not including the shop woned ones or race ones) have been completed by getting loans. i remember one person on honda-tech here about half-a-year ago who had everything planned out for his car and was in the process of getting a huge loan from the bank, something like 10 grand or something. havent heard from him since, hahahahahhaha

I guess it's just a matter of opinion, but to me it's just not smart to get a loan just so you can modify your car. To be even more honest, I think it's quite irresponsible.

If you can't afford it, and you can't save up for it, then don't do it.

funny how one simiple question starts this whole back and forth tension about how someone wants to manage money...in my opinion..if u have the passion for it and u really want it..go for it. as long as he knows what he might got himself into. haha
