i have a strong b16 in my car, and this summer I was gonna swap out the botom end for an ls or b20z or the type. howeve, a kid at school took his 4 door gsr and is putting in a b18c5, and he told me he would sell me the engine and ecu for cheap. the engine has 166000 miles on it. However, i thought about building it up with new springs and retainers, my ctr cams, and some typr r pistons and rods. would it be worth it? also...could I use my b16 place racing mounts? how much wiring would need to be changed? thanks guys...ben

 

well i know that you can still use your mounts, and as for wireing your gonna have to get a harness from hasport obd2 conversion... of ask around and some of the guys are pretty good with moditfyng your existing harness

 

Just put the GSR bottom end under your b16a head, build that up for a poor man's type R engine... you'll be faster than the GSr, I guarantee!

 

and if you stay non obd and use the b16a ecu no wiring will be needed if you stick with the b16a harness.

 

so put my ctr cams in my b16 head...what all else to do full race. i wanna bore it and stoke out the bottom end....itr pistons and robs and titanium springs and retainers...i wanna put it on the bottle at the end of this summer too...what do u all think?
