sounds like slow is pretty subjective here... i bet i would think it was pretty fast compared to my D16. what did you own before this that is so fast? and you expected a 1.8l honda to keep up?

MAYBE ITS THOSE BIG *** TIRES YOU GOT ON THERE..LOL..SORRY, UMM, TIMING HAS A LOT TO DO WITH PERFORMANCE, BUT WITH WHATS DONE, THE CAR SHOULD BE QUICK BUT NOT FAST. SLIGHTLY FASTER THAN A GSR..ANYWAYS, JUST MY 2 CENTS

u need to get some type of tuning ... but a apexi vtec controller and have some one that knows how to tune tune it. maybe a local performance shop or something.

well, if those pistons say PR3, they are B16A pistons not GSR pistons. that would make your compression ration around 11.6:1 if i'm not mistaken. from what i can see in the picture, you are using a B16 head (from the looks of the intake manifold) so most likely there are B16 cams in there. i'm pretty sure with that high of a compression ratio you would need some bigger cams.. least some GSR cams. also, unless that P28 is chipped, you are definitely starving that engine. you should get that ecu chipped to a DOHC VTEC spec or just buy DOHC VTEC ecu (P30 or P61). and also, with such a high compression ratio, u shouldn't have the timing advanced 3.5 degrees.. that's asking for detonation. hopefully this info will help u out.

thanks alot, well no one in my area has ls/vtec besides me but we heard that ls/vtec should be beating a gsr by like 3 cars.alos the ecu is unchipped i was wondering if that was a problem.iwas told it was a 99 si b16 head but i will look into some cams.thanks again!!

Run the proper ECU and 99% of the problems will go away.

you should either be running a jdm p30 or a chipped p06 (chipped to DOHC VTEC standards) or you need to get your p28 chipped to DOHC VTEC standards if your running a non chipped p28 your running the maps of a SOHC VTEC your motor will require more air and fuel than a SOHC..thus making it slower..like someone said above running the correct ecu should solve all of your problems..

your car is basically a 1.8 liter b16 ..with I/H/E it should be quick but not "ridicuouslly" sp. fast like a turbo 1.8 or something as for the gsr by three cars mayb a stock one

tune with the managment that the tuning shop is best with. it sounds like you have a stock bottom end and a stock head. dont expect too much from it. do a compression check it will tell you if you got some itr or b16 pistons. itr and b16 pistons, your compression will be 210+ and with the stock LS pistons it will be 190 or lower

You need a tune ASAP! Buy a chipped P28 from http://www.phearable.net and Tell him your setup and he'll make you a custom chip/ECU
