I'm not talking about the dash, or the gauge cluster, but the center part where the climate controls are located and the factory radio is mounted. Has anybody swapped this over from a 00 to a 98 or older EK?

The 00 one and maybe the 99 one look way better, and give more space for other mounting options. Its almost a double DIN I think.

 

It is a double din, and yes you can swap them. There should be a link at in FAQ at the top.

everything is in that post, you need to change more then just that "dash unit", to get it working properly new one is electronic old one isn't

 

Wow, guess it can be done with TONS OF WORK. Good luck to all that try it. If you need a double DIN, then you've got a day's work ahead of you.
